My name is Erika Onofrescu, I was born and grown up in Transylvania, Romania. My work and passion is curative education.

I live in Switzerland with my family and am a proud mother of two adorable children who light up my life every day. My favourite leisure activities are horse riding and hiking in nature.

In December 2014 came the initiative to help children in need. We organized a successful donation followed by three projects:

  • 1. During Christmas 2014 we supported 12 large families, each with a large food package and sweets.
  • 2. On Easter 2015 we went walking and ate pizza with 15 orphans from a school together with 3 teachers. In addition to isolation the lack of school materials is another big problem. Therefore we have used a large part of the donation for purchasing school material.
  • 3. In Spetember 2016 we were able to support 5 primary school students who live in great need of school materials. We supported them with these for a whole school year.

Beside money we also collect clothes and toys for children in poor social condition.

Under this link you can view photos of the projects.

Our scope is to help orphans, children in need who are affected by physical or mental illness, as well as large and poor families. Above all we would like to give them joy, hope and love. Through positive experiences we would like to trigger a small change in their life. For this purpose, we founded the association Spero in the hope that we can help many more children. During our upcoming Christmas 2016 project we will support poor families having small children with a big package of preserved food and the treatment of a little girl fighting bravely with cancer.
